Australia

It was October 2017 when my flight from Barcelona took off. It was headed for Singapur, although that and Kuala Lumpur were just a one-week layover before heading to my real destination: Work & Holiday in Australia.

After dreaming about it for so many months, the moment finally arrived. I had left my life, my job, my family and my friends back in Spain and I was getting ready to walk the path of the unknown in the land of kangaroos and koalas.

I arrived in Sydney and stayed there for 3 months. I then went to Tasmania to try to become a soccer player and, because I didn’t succeed, I ended up going to Mooroopna to do my farm work. After picking millions of apples during three months, I bought a car with a friend who came to visit from Spain. We drove 10000 km, or, in other words, from Port Lincoln to Cairns.

I spent my last 4 months in Cairns, diving in the Great Barrier Reef, working at events and at the biggest brewery in Queenstown and chasing waterfalls. All these experiences, tips and anecdotes are summarized here in form of posts. I hope they come in handy for you 🙂

Farm work in Australia (2/2)

Australian road trip (1/4)

It’s been 3 months and 25 days since the “Welcome to Australia, Mr. Chaves” sign was shown for the first time. Although my idea of being at the airport waiting for Chaves to arrive while holding the sign didn’t happen as I envisioned it, (basically he landed at Melbourne’s airport

Australian road trip (3/4)

2 days in Byron Bay On Sunday the 13th of May, after having spent quite some hours partying the night before at Coffs Hotel, we woke up (still hungover) and started to get breakfast ready. As I write these lines, I feel some sort of nostalgic when I remember the
