Romania
It all started the summer of 2019. I had spoken with some friends and told them I wanted to spend 10 days visiting some less-known countries in Europe. After checking flights options, we ended up booking 3 flights: Madrid-Bucharest, Timișoara-Bucharest and Bucharest-Madrid.
In 10 days we visited two countries and several cities. Romania did surprise me. It was beautiful! Bucharest is a very interesting city, with a parliament that is one of the heaviest and largest of the world. Peleș Castle and Corvin Castle have a very different style and architecture but both are really beautiful. And, if we speak about beauty, we have to speak about Timișoara, which is known as the Little Vienna for a reason.
Almost forgot! If you like food and are curious about the history behind Dracula, this is a country you can’t miss! 🙂
The weekend in Bucharest
During the weekend in Bucharest there would be 7 of us. There were 4 people from my village (Paco, Nacho, Pedro and myself), one guy from my village who was living in France (Manolo), one guy from Barcelona (Pau) and another one from Mexico (Fabrizio). I had met the last
Peleș Castle and Brașov
As you might remember from the previous post, after watching the sunrise, we walked to our hostel. It was a nice way to put an end to the weekend in Bucharest. After saying goodbye to Fabrizio (unfortunately he needed to fly back to Germany to attend University), we got ready
Bran Castle and Sibiu
As you might remember from the previous post, we had just left Brașov after a “funny” Monday morning, where we found our main sightseeing targets closed. As you might also remember, we had rented a van, back in Bucharest. Our goal was to drive it through Transylvania and visit some
Corvin Castle
As you might remember from the previous post, we had just left Sibiu after a beautiful sightseeing morning. It was the morning of Tuesday the 5th, November 2019, and it was going to be our last day driving through Transylvania. To put it in another way, that day would be
3 days in Timișoara
As you might remember from the previous post, we left the astonishing Corvin Castle behind and got ready for our last drive in Transylvania. Our last stop in this beautiful region was the picturesque Timișoara, where we would be spending a total of 3 days. Last drive with the van:
